If you've just received one of our Vineyard Tour vouchers, you might be wondering what to expect! This is a unique and memorable experience for wine lovers, and a great way to get to know your local vineyard and try some award-winning English wines.
Welcombe Hills Vineyard sits atop the eponymous landmark just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. Our south-facing vineyard with stony soil, and a gentle slopes, provides an ideal micro-climate as possible in the heart of England and has been producing award-winning wines for over 20 years.
The vineyard tours are light-hearted and fun, and a great way to learn about the winemaking process and see where our grapes are grown. The experience typically starts with a guided walk through through the vines, where our vineyard hosts will show you the different grape varieties we grow, and explain how our wines are made.
After the tour, you’ll enjoy a tutored tasting of our award-winning wines to find your new favourite English wines and you’re welcome to ask the team any questions on the wines or the winemaking process. You can pre-order charcuterie and cheese platters to pair with the wines, and see how the different flavours of the food and wine complement each other.
The events are held outside in our Wine Garden whenever possible, but we always have our cosy Tasting Room to retreat to if needed. The experience lasts for about 1.5 hours with time for drinking up afterwards!

These events are very popular and book up quickly – we always book tours to the maximum capacity we have inside (just in case!) When the weather is good and we can hold the wine tasting outside then more tickets will be released nearer the time. There are only a handful of dates available for 2023, but your voucher is valid for next year as well. 2024 dates will be published just before Christmas.
